Za v?tšinou phishingu údajn? stojí 2-3 skupiny a 100 PC
17.10.2004According to e-mail survey company CipherTrust, most phishing attacks come from 1,000 compromised "zombie" computers owned by broadband customers and controlled by no more than five phishing operations. 28% of the IP (internet protocol) addresses came from US computers, 17% from South Korea, and 8% from China. In its survey of a month's worth of e-mails--about 4 million--0.35% were found to be phishing attacks. Most attacks target customers of financial institutions and e-commerce sites and usually claim there has been a problem with their accounts. 54% of phishing scams targeted Citibank, 13% Smith Barney, 10% SunTrust Banks, and 8% PayPal. The zombie computers also sent out other spam, similar across all computers, suggesting that only two or three groups were responsible for the attacks.
