07.08.2004Six vulnerabilities have been discovered in a library supporting the portable network graphics (PNG) format. The vulnerabilities could affect the Mail application on Apple Computer's Mac OS X, the Opera and Internet Explorer browsers on Windows, and the Mozilla and Netscape browsers on Solaris. The most serious bug, a buffer overflow flaw, could allow an attacker to launch malicious code on vulnerable machines.
