Bluetooth security tips:
Here is a checklist on how you can ensure your Bluetooth devices are well-protected:
- Always use a password or key when pairing up two devices.
- Do not pair with devices you are unfamiliar with as this will give them full access to your device.
- Turn off your Bluetooth function whenever it is not required.
- If you need to turn your Bluetooth on, make sure your device is set to hidden or invisible mode.
- Activate additional layers of security to your device if they are available.
- If the Bluetooth-enabled device is stolen or lost, unpair or remove it from the list of trusted devices that is on all devices it was previously paired.
- If your device comes with an antivirus software, remember to keep it updated.
