12.01.2005On Tuesday, the company released Ciphire Mail, an email encryption application that works with all standard email programs and operates almost invisibly in the background, encrypting, decrypting and digitally signing each message to confirm the source of the message and affirm that message content was not altered after it was sent. The Ciphire Mail client resides on a user's computer between the email client and the email server. Every Ciphire certificate contains three different 2048-bit public keys (RSA, DSA, and ElGamal). The message/packet format supports multi-layer encryption. By default, Ciphire Mail encrypts all emails with two layers: RSA (with AES) and ElGamal (with Twofish).
